Michael moved here in 2006, when he returned to the United States, after travelling for almost three years. He was the last resident of the villa. Today Liberace's valuables are stored here. That was impressive to see, but you won't believe what I saw when I entered.
Liberace and Michael were friends for years and it was such an incredible experience to feel the presence of them both in the villa.
The Liberace Foundation manages the assets with which it was endowed by Liberace himself to generate funding for performing and creative arts scholarship. Since 1981, they have distributed nearly $6 million in scholarships for the Creative and Performing arts, nationwide.
Liberace considered the Foundation one of his greatest achievements. In his book, The Things I Love, Liberace stated, “A lot of good things have happened to me in show business and I want to do what I can to give others just starting out a career boost. I hope the Foundation projects will continue into the future to offer gifted newcomers financial help, and in many cases, artistic exposure as well.” That is nice of him, creative arts and performance arts can all the support they can.
